It’s easy to focus on the holiday season’s immediate pleasures, like family dinners, football games, and shopping. This year, make philanthropy a new nontradition and give back to UC San Diego on #GivingTuesday — November 28.
Falling on the heels of Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media — and it’s the perfect opportunity to empower UC San Diego and our campus community to make a difference – to make waves. This international event is in its sixth year, a worldwide effort by charities and nonprofits to showcase philanthropy during the holiday season.
Join UC San Diego on November 28 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. at any one of our #GivingTuesday Giving Circle locations:
Celebrate the power of philanthropy with fellow faculty, staff, students and alumni. Stop by for treats, make your gift of any size and share your pride with your “I Gave” sticker.
Gifts to UC San Diego on #GivingTuesday also support the Campaign for UC San Diego, our comprehensive fundraising effort to enhance the student experience, enrich our campus community, and spark research and innovation. Can’t make it to a Giving Circle site? Show your support and give online to any area of campus.
Help us spread the word about #GivingTuesday at UC San Diego. Share what you’re passionate about and why you give back on Facebook or by tweeting @UCSanDiego. Thank you for helping us continue the nontradition.
