Thank you again to everyone who participated in our first Chancellor’s Associates online survey. Below are some of the results we collected.

Participation and Involvement
Of all survey respondents:

47 percent of our donors became involved with Chancellor’s Associates within the last 1-5 years. (This reflects our growing donor base, particularly within our Chancellor’s Associates Young Alumni (CAYA) program.)
25 percent of respondents have been Chancellor’s Associates donors for 6-10 years.
The remaining breakdown is as follows:

E-Communication
Of survey respondents:

80 percent reported that they would like to receive periodic e-mails that highlight special UC San Diego news.
90 percent would prefer to RSVP via the Chancellor’s Associates website if made available.

Philanthropy
Our donors give through Chancellor’s Associates for the following reasons:

Mission: To support the university’s overall mission and priorities.
Connection: To maintain my connection to people or groups affiliated with the university.
Gratitude: to show gratitude for my experience as a student, parent, alumnus, etc.

Privileges of Belonging
Our Chancellor’s Associates especially enjoy the following privileges of belonging to this special group of donors:

Donor courtesies and services (RIMAC membership, UC San Diego library card, parking permit and opportunity to audit UCSD classes)
Access to exclusive Chancellor’s Associates events and lectures
Ability to utilize Chancellor’s Associates as a portal to areas of specific interests across campus

Program Satisfaction
Of all survey respondents:

92 percent of our donors are very satisfied or satisfied with their Chancellor’s Associates experience.
86 percent would give an enthusiastic endorsement of Chancellor’s Associates to a friend.
